Division 03 — Global Business Services

The groundwork,
before anything moves.

Standards and certification research, engineering studies, market entry, industry representation and exhibitions — the work a company has to finish before a part can be imported or a project can be shipped.

Why we offer it

We built this for ourselves
before we sold it to anyone.

Running an aviation supply desk and a marine logistics desk across a dozen jurisdictions means answering the same questions again and again: which standard applies here, which certificate will customs accept, who is a real counterparty and who is a letterhead, what does this actually cost to land.

We had to build that capability to run our own two divisions. Clients kept asking us to run it for them as well, so it became the third thing we do — an international business services desk that sits behind both divisions and works on its own account.

It is deliberately unglamorous work. Done properly it is the difference between a project that clears and a project that sits at a border.

What we do

Six services, one desk

01

Standards, certification and conformity

Which national standard governs the goods, which conformity mark or certificate the authority will accept, what the import regime and licensing look like, and what is restricted outright. Researched per country and reported with the source, not from memory.

02

Engineering studies and surveys

Feasibility studies, route and site surveys, transport engineering and technical appraisal. The numbers a decision needs before capital is committed — and before a vessel or an aircraft slot is booked.

03

Market entry and business support

Entering a market you have not traded in before: the regulatory picture, incorporation and licensing routes, banking and settlement realities, and local representation while you find your feet.

04

Exhibitions and industry representation

Trade fairs and industry events across the region: stand logistics and customs for exhibits, a meeting programme booked in advance, delegation support, and representation of your company where you cannot attend in person.

05

Supplier and partner vetting

Finding, qualifying and auditing counterparties — manufacturers, agents, contractors — against performance, documentation discipline and financial standing. The same standard we apply before we appoint anyone ourselves.

06

Sector advisory

Advice grounded in two operating businesses rather than in a consultancy deck: how aviation supply and marine logistics actually behave in this region, what a schedule is worth, and where a plan will break.

How an engagement runs

From question to something you can act on

Brief

We agree what the question actually is, what a useful answer would look like, and what it is worth spending to get it. Scope and fee fixed before work starts.

Desk research

Regulations, standards, tariff and licensing positions gathered from primary sources — the authority's own text, not a summary of a summary. Everything cited.

On the ground

Where a document cannot settle it, someone goes and looks: the plant, the terminal, the route, the counterparty's office. Our regional network is used for access, not for opinions.

Report

A written answer with the evidence attached, the assumptions stated, and the things we could not verify listed as such. Where the answer is unwelcome, you get it anyway.

Execution support

If it then has to be sourced, certified, shipped or represented, our aviation and marine divisions carry it out — same counterparty, no handover.

Where we work

Regulatory ground
we have already covered.

South-East Asia and Greater China are where we have done this most and know the answers before we look them up. The Middle East is where we are extending, with the same discipline and without pretending the file is already open.
